Axes generally suck compared to maces and especially swords, but have one good option with the bound Battle-Axe. Endurance is already the hardest attribute to get multipliers for, while Strength is the easiest. Spear also favors Endurance with is overall a negative because it makes training for Endurance multipliers that much harder, especially if you also use heavy or medium armor. Spear has more variety in the lower range, but less the top. Second place is up for debate, I'd say a tie between Blunt Weapon and Spear. That's according to numbers, not opinion.
